Dressing For Daycare – Spring

It certainly does not feel like it right now but Spring is here. Spring weather is unpredictable at best and almost always wet. Dressing for daycare with a mind on day of outdoor spring activities can be quite a challenge. Have no fear we can solve your dressing for daycare woes with our wet weather survival guide!

Wet Weather Daycare Survival Guide

1) Send layers. Starting with a tee-shirt and a sweater is a good place. Then a fleece jacket with a weather proof outer shell (tops and bottoms please!). A good warm hat and your are ready for whatever the day holds!
2) Mittens, Mittens Mimitens! You know how much we love our Mimitens. Well they are not just for winter. The fact that Mimitens are weather proof, won’t come off and are not bulky are what set them apart from all other gloves and mitts out there. Two pairs are essential – there is nothing worse than slipping your hands into a soggy pair of mitts for your afternoon play 🙁

3) One Piece Splash Suits – We love them! Kids will be kids and when the ground is wet they don’t care and why should they? We want our kids to enjoy their time outside and not have to worry about getting their pants wet. Enter the Muddy Buddy and the MEC Newt Rainsuit. Both are amazing, well priced and will get tons of wear. They are light weight and will see you through spring, summer and the fall!

4) Rainboots – They don’t have to be fancy and any pair will do. There are some really cute well priced options out there. Remember, rainboots almost always run large and you may want to consider buying one size smaller than usual. We do love Croc rain boots for infants and toddlers – they are super light and contour the foot so well – ideal for the smallest set!
